In May 2021, I was involved in a traffic accident, and as a result, I simultaneously developed COVID-19 and a brain hemorrhage. At that time in Taiwan, if one contracted COVID-19, they were sent to quarantine centers, where they had to stay isolated, and if they passed away, they would be cremated immediately, with no chance to see their relatives. In this lonely and near-death state, I reflected on what I could leave behind in my life during these 7 days, and what could be seen in the limited space of 3 cubic meters. Therefore, I decided to take photos every day for 7 consecutive days. One month after the quarantine was lifted, I considered writing a novel about this experience, but as time passed, the pain and fear of the past gradually faded.
At that time, I used a image diary to record the length of life and the breadth of my perspective. While lying in bed, I thought about what kind of traces my body would leave in the world. However, due to the situation where I was bedridden and about to be sent to a quarantine facility, I could only use my smartphone to take the recordings.
